Tell the Government: take action now to stop raw sewage dumping

Under the Tories, our water infrastructure is at bursting point with billions of litres of water wasted every day.

Meanwhile leisure and tourism spots across the country are being devastated as more than 1,000 years worth of raw sewage discharge is dumped into rivers and seas.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Raw sewage dumping has more than doubled since then Environment Secretary, Liz Truss, cut millions from the Environment Agency’s budget and slashed the number of sewage monitors.

Labour will strengthen regulation to protect Britain’s rivers and beautiful coastline and ensure water companies are held to account legally and financially for their negligence.
